Middle School Honor Band: Welcome

All deadlines are strictly adhered to!

The GMEA District VIII Honor Band is an audition only ensemble. Students interested in participating must register through their schools band director and participate in the annual District Honor Band auditions. Students will be selected for participation based on their audition performance.

The deadline for registering is October 4, 2022. Submissions after this date will not be accepted.

To register Director's must register students through OPUS by the December 1st deadline. Your school will be charged $10 for each student registered regardless of participation.

Please double check that your students are registered for the District Audition before submitting your final registration.

EVENT REGISTRATION PAYMENT DEADLINE

An online registration form will be required for students participation in the honor band event. This will be sent o the director's email listed in OPUS. Please make sure your information is updated and accurate. All directors must officially accept their students nominations no later than TBD

All students accepting their nomination will be charged a participation fee (TBD).

Any students who decline the invitation or do not respond by the deadline will be bypassed and the next highest scoring student will be selected to take their place.

Once bypassed a student will not be eligible for participation in the current years event.
